The National have announced its first North American tour since the fall of 2019, beginning on July 15 at the Pitchfork Festival in Chicago.
The band will be joined by opening acts, Japanese Breakfast, Lucy Dacus, and Bartees Strange on the road. Together the ensemble of musicians will see stops across the U.S.
The tour will include 23-stops, including a show at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colo., on Sept. 12, an appearance at Surly Brewing Festival in Minneapolis two days later, and the tour closer at Sound on Sound Festival in Bridgeport, Conn., on Sept 25.
“We are excited to finally share our full tour itinerary for summer 2022,” the band said. “The last couple of years have given us ample time for reflection and rejuvenation. Summer 2022 is a time for reunion. We look forward to gathering with friends, old and new. United in music and light, suspended in time. We hope you can join us.”
The National has partnered with PLUS1, donating $1 from each ticket sale to the Ukrainian Relief Fund, which will support the people of Ukraine by providing grassroots nonprofit humanitarian aid, refugee support and more.
Tickets go on sale on April 1 at 10 a.m. local time.
