Dirt Farmer Festival has shared its initial artist lineup for the May 21 event at Arrowood Farms in Accord, N.Y. Levon Helm Studios will present the one-day event.
The initial artist lineup includes the Midnight Ramble Band & Friends, Mavis Staples (Duo) and Amy Helm– additional artists will be announced shortly. Music will be spread out over two stages; in addition to entertainment, festival-goers can expect great local food vendors, craft beer and other activities.
Earlier this week, news broke that Staples and the late Helm would release a joint live album, entitled Carry Me Home, via ANTI-Record on May 20. The LP features tracks recorded in June 2011 as a part of the Midnight Ramble series at Levon Helm Studios in Woodstock, N.Y.
Carry Me Home features 12-tracks, ranging from classic rock covers like The Rolling Stones’ “You Got To Move” to The Band’s “The Weight,” as well as Helm’s original “When I Go Away.”
Pre-sale for Dirt Farmer Festival is on now. Public on-sale begins this Friday, March 18, at 10 a.m. ET and can be purchased here.
