The Rock and Roll Playhouse will celebrate the Jewish holiday of Purim with a special family event at New York’s Brooklyn Bowl on the morning of Sunday, March 13 at 11 a.m.

Billed as “a family Purim Event,” the day will feature an all-ages show by the Phish tribute act Uncle Ebenezer who will perform an interactive telling of the story of Purim with Because Jewish and The Friday Night Jam’s Rabbi Daniel Brenner. In addition to their Purim-themed performance, Uncle Ebenezer will also perform a set of kids-friendly Phish favorites.

Kids and their parents will enjoy games, activities, groggers, complimentary hamantaschen pastries and a carnival-like atmosphere. As Purim is something akin to the Jewish Halloween and Mardi Gras, families are encouraged to come in costume.
