moe.’s Jim Loughlin has shared his second-ever solo album, Below the Surface, which is now available to stream or buy on Bandcamp.com. The LP spans eight tracks which were all recorded and produced by Loughlin and his wife Brenda in their home studio.

“Unlike my first EP this album was recorded, mixed and mastered by myself. I also had a ton of help from my wife Brenda,” wrote Loughlin in the album’s description. “She basically produced a lot of songs on this album and I don’t think they would’ve come out as good without her help. This is all still somewhat new to me and I know that there are mistakes and flaws throughout the album but I have to say that I had a lot of fun and learned a lot recording this.”

Earlier this month moe.’s bassist Rob Derhak shared his debut solo album Songs For Other People on Bandcamp.com. The bassist shared, “It is a departure from the music I write for moe. and is not a collection of jams or serious instrumental pieces.”
