Greensky Bluegrass continued their winter tour on Wednesday night, performing at The Flynn Theatre in Burlington, Vt., with guest opener The Infamous Stingdusters’ Andy Hall joining in during the latter part of the second set.
The show opened with “Merely Avoiding,” followed by a 17-minute rendition of “All Four.” Greensky Bluegrass continued with two tunes off their latest LP, Stress Dreams, “Absence of Reason,” and “New & Improved.”
The second set picked up with “Cut a Tooth” followed by the ballad, “What Happened to Jim?” which fittingly followed with “Casual Wednesday.” Dobroist Andy Hall joined in on “I’d Probably Kill You” and “Worried About The Weather.” Wednesday night’s show closed with a “Worry for You” encore.
Last night, the band performed at the State Theatre in Portland, Maine, opening with “The Four,” which segued into “Grow Together.” The band followed with “Nine Days” and “Out & Under” before breaking into a jam of “Indian Trail” into “Depot Bay.” They played “Monument” to close the first set.
The quintet opened the second set with their latest title track, “Stress Dreams,” before throwing it back to 2006’s “The Radio Blues.” They continued with another number off Stress Dreams, “Streetlight” followed by “Who is Frederico?”
The band welcomed Andy Falco on guitar for the final songs of the evening – “Broke Mountain Breakdown” and “Worry for You.”
Greensky Bluegrass will perform a two-night stand at House of Blues in Boston, Mass., beginning tonight, alongside show openers, The Infamous Stringdusters.
