The Del McCoury Band shared “Honky Tonk Nights,” the latest offering off their upcoming LP Almost Proud, which will be released on Feb. 18.
The 82-year-old musician took to The Bluegrass Situation to share the salt-of-the-earth-styled track. Fellow Nashville bluegrass mainstay Vince Gill joined the band on the track to add to the ongoing odyssey that is Del McCoury’s life and career.
“I love singing with Vince,” McCoury said to The Bluegrass Situation. “We’ve done a lot through the years but this is the first time I’ve found the perfect song to have him on my album. I am thrilled with how this song turned out and grateful to Vince for his friendship and his love and support of bluegrass.”
