Widespread Panic’s John “JoJo” Hermann sat in with DJ Logic during his residency at New York’s Blue Note last night. The keyboardist, who was scheduled to be in the Big Apple for a Panic run at the Beacon Theatre which has since been postponed until July, emerged for the new jam “JoJo’s Groove.” The rest of Logic’s core band for the evening consisted of saxophonist Karl Denson, bassist MonoNeon and Lettuce drummer Adam Deitch. Rapper Kosha Dillz also sat in during the night.
DJ Logic’s Blue Note stand with his all-star core band continues this evening. Longtime James Brown collaborator Fred Wesley and guitarist Marcus Machado will join the ensemble.
