Portland, Ore. based band Fruition announced that due to the rapid increase in COVID-19 cases they will have to reschedule the shows they had planned for California on Jan. 11-16.

The band was able to pull off a New Year’s Eve run with one night in Seattle, Wash. and two nights in their home city, but now are now following the example of that many venues and bands have set in recent weeks.

“Let’s be honest,” the band wrote on social media. “Society at large is brimming with frustration, anxiety, helplessness and despondency, and we are not immune.” They went on to express their desire for safe places, live music and community. They expressed remorse towards their own inability to maintain and provide those necessities.

Fruition are currently working on establishing the dates for their rescheduled shows and plan to share details as soon as the dates are set.
