Goose wrapped their New Year’s Eve run at The Riviera Theatre in Chicago, Ill. last night by performing three sets featuring covers and fan favorites that kept the house rocking into 2022.
The first set began with “Arrow” followed by “Rosewood Heart” off the 2016 LP Moon Cabin. The band continued with “White Lights” and “The Old Man’s Boat,” which debuted earlier this year at Terminal 5 in New York. Set one ended with a cover of “Sleep Walk” by Santo & Johnny.
Set two kicked off with a cover of Vampire Weekend’s “2021” into “Flodown” followed by Bob Weir’s “One More Saturday Night.” The second set finished with fan-favorite “Arcadia.”
The third set picked up with “Wysteria Lane,” followed by a debut performance of “The Circle of Life.” “The Empress of Organos” was played next, followed by “Creatures” and “Your Ocean.”
Then, Goose performed “Seekers on the Ridge Pt. 1” into “Seekers on the Ridge Pt. 2.” For their encore, the band returned to the stage for “So Ready” off the LP 2018/02/15 Covington, KY (Live).
“Thank you Chicago!! That was one for the books! Thank you so much to everyone who showed us love in 2021. We are so grateful to have the best fans in the universe!! We can’t wait for more magical moments together in 2022,” the band wrote on social media this morning. See the full post below.
