This past weekend, the Disco Biscuits and Umphrey’s McGee hosted their annual Holidaze destination event in Puerto Morelos, Mexico. The four-day music spectacular was filled with special moments, from covers to collaborations.

On the first night, Disco Biscuits performed “Crystal Ball,” which was played for the first time since 2018 earlier this year, in honor of fan Patrick Roxbury, who recently passed away. The Disco Biscuits famously said they would revive the song in 2002 if he cut his hair, a promise he was good for.

Umphrey’s McGee welcomed vocal powerhouse Kanika Moore for an encore cover of Led Zeppelin’s beloved “Kashmir.” Other notable moments included Lotus drummer Mike Greenfield joining The New Deal for their complete three-song set and the Disco Biscuits performing an inverted rendition of “Crickets” in Spanish during their final set.

The Disco Biscuits will close out the year with two nights at The Fillmore Philadelphia, beginning Dec. 30. Meanwhile, Umphrey’s McGee will head south for a three-night run at The Fillmore, Miami Beach. Read more here.
