Chabad San Francisco has announced they’ll be presenting their Chanukah Menorah Lighting Ceremony in Union Square. Festivities will kick off at 2 p.m. with music, traditional foods and a Menorah Lighting with dignitaries on Nov. 28 in conjunction with the Bill Graham Menorah Day. The Bill Grahm Menorah is the first giant public menorah outside of Israel and has inspired thousands worldwide since it was first lit up in 1975.

From Monday, Nov. 29 through Thursday, Dec. 2, people will gather at union square at 4:30 p.m., and the Lighting Ceremony will commence at 5:00 p.m. On Friday, there will be an early program at 3:00 due to Shabbat, and on Saturday, there will be a later gathering at 7:30 with a Lighting Ceremony at 8:00 p.m. again due to Shabbat. On Sunday, Dec. 5, the last day of Chanukah, the gathering will be back to its 4:30 p.m. time slot, and the Lighting Ceremony will commence at 5:00 p.m.
