Phish returned to California on Saturday, Oct. 23, playing a stand-alone show at the North Island Credit Union Amphitheatre in Chula Vista, Calif.

Certainly, the band rewarded fans who made the trip, opening with the beloved “Fluffhead” and even jamming out its middle section.

The “Fluffhead” actually never reached its natural conclusion as the band instead opted to segue into “NICU.” (This “NICU” was also one of the longest ever, clocking in around 17 minutes.)

The ultra-rare “Bye Bye Foot” followed, marking its sixth all-time performance (last played 11/29/2019, before that: 8/10/97).

Other Chula Vista Highlights included a “Tube”> “Slave”> “Llama”> “Rise/Come Together” to end the first half and a jammed-out set two, which danced through “No Men In No Man’s Land”> “Free”> “Joy”> “Sand”> “Piper” and a show-ending “Scents and Subtle Sounds.”

The band encored with “Lonely Trip” and “First Tube.”
