Mike Gordon will team up with Leo Kottke this December for a slew of live shows, marking the pairing’s first tour in over 16 years.

Gordon and Kottke released their collaborative album Noon in August.

That release was the duo’s first collaboration since 2005’s Sixty Six Steps; it was also Kottke’s first studio album of any kind since then.

“With Leo, these rhythms and patterns and different genres that come together—these melodies that he does—are just so inspiring,” Gordon told Relix this year. “No other acoustic guitar player does that for me. I always put him in this category of individuals that I tell people they have to see. Gillian Welch is on that list and Toots and the Maytals were on that list, too. And the Grateful Dead were, of course, in that upper echelon.”

According to organizers, “Ticket pre-sales begin today at select venues; general on-sales for all dates get underway this Friday, Oct. 8 at 10 a.m. ET.”
