Dawes are the latest band to pivot touring plans due to the complications of the pandemic.
On Sept. 22, the band revealed that “members of the touring party” tested positive for COVID-19, and their shows in Boston, Holyoke, Mass. and Pittsburgh had been pushed out to October.
Today – Sept. 23 – Dawes added an additional six shows to the list, including stops in Pennsylvania, Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Alabama and North Carolina.
“We are heartbroken,” the band wrote via social media. “We’ve been caught between wanted to exhaust every option to make this happen but also wanting to communicate with all of you as fast as possible. Yesterday we were so sure that it was all gonna work and unforeseen developments today have shows us that we were just being too hopeful. We are rescheduling these shows as fast as possible, so stay tuned on that.”
The band hopes to keep their touring schedule intact from Oct. 1 onward, including an Oct. 2 stop at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium.

Low ticket sales
September 23, 2021 at 3:24 pmAnother low/mid level band cancelling multiple dates in areas they aren’t big in, mmmm. It certainly can’t be low ticket sales because we aren’t paying for garbage anymore.
