Disco Biscuits’ Aron Magner, Strangefolk’s Reid Genauer, Bonnie Light Horseman’s Josh Kaufman and singer Annie Nero have joined the lineup for the suite of musically inclined High Holiday services that will be streamed on Fans.live.

The musicians will all contribute remotely to the Yom Kippur streams, which will be filmed at The Relix Studio. In addition, Guster’s Brian Rosenworcel will contribute a song during this evening’s Kol Nidre service and stream. The percussionist will perform live alongside guitarist and singer Bryan Gone 


As previously reported, for the 10th year, The Friday Night Jams/Because Jewish will host a series of spiritually driven High Holiday services. This year’s offerings will be live-streamed for free via FANS.live.

Led by Rabbi Daniel Brenner Jeremiah Lockwood and trumpeter and Antibalas trumpeter Jordan McLean, offerings include Erev Rosh Hashanah live-streamed from Brooklyn Bowl (Sept. 6 at 7:30 p.m.), Rosh Hashanah Morning live-streamed from Brooklyn Bowl (Sept. 7 at 10 a.m.), Kol Nidre live-streamed from the Relix Studio (Sept. 15 at 7:30 p.m.) and Yom Kippur live-streamed from the Relix Studio (Sept. 16 at 10 a.m.). Yula Berri, Anthony Russell, Stuart Bogie and several others will also participate this evening. 

Each service will also include traditional prayers, guided mediations and instrumental offerings from a number of noted New York jazz players.
