The Allman Betts Band launched its Autumn in America tour on Sept. 2 in Los Angeles, with a two-hour performance at downtown L.A.’s Regent Theater.

The seven-piece ensemble marked the occasion, and its first appearance in the City of Angels since March 8, 2020, welcoming some special guests- guitarist Eric Krasno and guitarist Marc Ford- to the kick-off.

Krasno joined the jam-heavy proceedings midway through, adding his six-string chops to an ABB lineup that features Devon Allman, Duane Betts, and Johnny Stachela on guitar, for renditions of the Grateful Dead’s “Shakedown Street” and The Allman Brothers Band’s “Dreams,” with the latter extending to the 20-minute threshold.

Later, the group invited Ford, who, along with River Kittens, is supporting ABB for this fall run, for the single-song encore- again, an Allman Brothers Band classic, “Midnight Rider.”
