Founder member and former drummer of Oasis, Tony McCarrol, suffered a heart attack last Thursday, Aug. 27. The drummer has survived the ordeal, but has said he is “not quite out of the woods as yet…”

McCarroll announced his condition through social media and shouted out England’s National Health Service saying, “We are more than fortunate to have such a service!” McCarroll helped form Oasis with Liam Gallagher, Noel Gallagher, Paul “Bonehead” Arthurs, and Paul McGuigan, and played drums the band’s 1994 debut Definitely Maybe. He left the Oasis on the last day of April 1995 and was replaced by Alan White.
