The Jeff Austin estate has announced it will be releasing the 2016 EP Do Not Let The Body Grow Cold through all streaming services on Aug. 20.

The concept album was recorded by the Jeff Austin Band in the Fall of 2015. The album features Jeff Austin on mandolin, Ross Martin on guitar, Ryan Cavanaugh on banjo and Max Johnson on bass. Do Not Let The Body Grow Cold features 4 original songs including an extended version of the song “Rag Doll,” co-written by Austin and Danny Barnes. The album features “chapters” of storied narration by John DiMaggio known for his voice-acting as Bender on “Futurama,” Jake the Dog on “Adventure Time” and more.

“Jeff came to me with this idea after we collaborated on his contribution to my documentary ‘I KNOW THAT VOICE’ where he performed and wrote the theme song. He wanted to do something different for DNLTBGC and approached me about doing a narration in between songs, like a theatre piece,” said John DiMaggio in a press release. “Naturally, I jumped at the opportunity, and we went from there. I recorded it from home, sent it off, expecting to hear back any notes or suggestions of possible re-recordings, only to get a massive thumbs up from Jeff. When I heard the finished product, I was thrilled. Jeff and I clicked from when we first met and working with him was an absolute joy, but being his friend meant even more. I miss him very much, as does everyone that
has ever met him or seen him perform.”

The album has been available on CD since its debut in the summer of 2016 and fans have been awaiting its release on streaming services worldwide ever since.
