On Sunday, Aug. 15, Phish ended their three-day party on the beach with a proper Atlantic City finale, “Fluffhead.”

The show began with Phish’s first “The Landlady” of 2021, and from there the group sank into a mashup of “Scents and Subtle Sounds” and “The Moma Dance,” before “The Final Hurrah” and a nice “Mike’s Groove” segment – containing a blissful “I Am Hydrogen.”

“The Sloth” and a “Roggae”> “Back on the Train” pairing rounded out the first half, before the beachside crowd howled for the set-ending “You Enjoy Myself” clocking in around 19 minutes.

Much to the crowd’s delight, set two opened with a sneering, rowdy “Carini.”

From there, Phish served up the anthemic “Set Your Soul Free” and the first “Beneath a Sea of Stars” of summer tour.

A peaking “Piper” also gave way to a full re-emergence of “Carini” – a move the AC crowd deeply appreciated – and the band continued to jam from “Waves”> “Simple”> “About to Run.”

The second set ended with “First Tube,” giving Trey Anastasio the chance to hoist his guitar in the air, but it was the aforementioned “Fluffhead” encore that really capped off the AC run.

However, Phish wasn’t done quite yet, as they gave fans their 3.0 ode-to-friendship “Backwards Down The Numberline” to send them home.
