My Morning Jacket has announced increased COVID-19 protocols for their upcoming tour, noting that “ticket holders will be required to present proof of a full COVID-19 vaccination or proof of a negative COVID-19 test result within 48 hours of the show day. Ticket holders using a negative test for entry will not need to get subsequent tests if they are attending multiple shows at the same venue. Children under the age of 12 must present proof of a negative COVID-19 test taken within 48 hours of the show. Where applicable, masks will be required for entry.”
This outing will mark MMJ’s first US headlining tour in five years. The dates will begin on Aug. 27 in Charlotte, N.C. at the Metro Credit Union Amphitheatre and wrap up with a three-night run at Chicago’s Auditorium Theater on Nov. 4-6.
It’s also worth noting that for the band’s Halloween gig in New Orleans, their November Chicago run and their Denver New Year’s Run, “proof of a full COVID-19 vaccination will be the only acceptable form of entry.”
On July 10, My Morning Jacket also released The Waterfall II, a sequel to their 2015 album of the same name.
“Please get a vaccine if you have not already done so,” MMJ’s statement continues. “If you are flu-symptomatic or have been exposed to someone infected with COVID-19, please stay home. Please wear a mask for the duration of our shows, and please respect each other!”

August 18, 2021 at 9:51 pmThere were 5 comments and you guys went ahead and deleted another so now there’s 4. Jesus. I agree with the vaccine push and all that but you all just really fuck it up by deleting comments. Go full blown and get rid of them all together. Jambands is a bunch of fucking pussies that just can’t deal with people that don’t agree with them. Sorry sacks of shit. The whole lot. Oh, and I bet this will be deleted by noon once the interns are back at their keyboards and pretending to work.

August 17, 2021 at 5:50 pmYeah, thanks for deleting my posts you don’t agree with! I used to respect Jambands.com and visit every day! That certainly will be changing along with my love and enjoyment of live music concerts. Thanks for being a part of the first step to kill the live music industry! Bravo!
Serious question

Serious Answer
August 17, 2021 at 3:17 pmI’ll answer that – facism. Nothing like suppression of speech you don’t agree with.
