Phish continued their beachside Atlantic City run on Saturday, Aug. 15, opening with a slow-pace “Llama” and continuing on with countless other crowd pleasers.

From there, “Tube” kept the party going, as did a pairing of “Destiny Unbound” and “Ya Mar.”

Later, according to Scott Marks of Phish.net, the set one “Soul Shakedown Party” marked its first appearance since July 28, 2018 (show gap: 88), making it “the first song to have a show gap of over 50 in 2021.”

Also worth talking about was set one’s far-reaching “Split Open and Melt” which clocked well over 10 minutes and eventually gave way to “The Squirming Coil.”

Set two highlights included the Lonely Trip standout “I Never Needed You Like This Before,” as well as a suitably beach-themed, 15-minute “Drowned” which bled into “Ghost,” a snippet of “Scents and Subtle Sounds” and an unfinished “Chalk Dust Torture,” before the band really kicked things into high gear with a trio of “No Quarter,” “Slave to the Traffic Light” and “Suzy Greenberg.”

The show ended with “A Life Beyond The Dream” and a surprise “Tweezer Reprise.”
