Joe Russo’s Almost Dead has canceled a handful of indoor shows due to the surge of infections of the COVID-19 Delta Variant. The venues include The Sylvee in Madison Wis., The Pageant in St. Louis Mo., as well as, GLC Live at 20 Monroe in Grand Rapids, Mich. and the Mardi Gras World Ballroom in New Orleans.

Joe Russo’s Almost Dead wrote in an announcement:

Due to the recent COVID-19 Delta variant surge, we’ve decided to postpone our upcoming indoor shows at The Sylvee in Madison, WI & at The Pageant in St. Louis, MO until March 18-20, 2022. After much consideration and discussion, we believe it’s in the best interest of our fans, band and crew to err on the side of safety and caution at this time.

Unfortunately, we will also be canceling our shows on Thu, Aug 26 at GLC Live at 20 Monroe in Grand Rapids, MI and on Fri & Sat, Oct 15 & 16 at Mardi Gras World Ballroom in New Orleans, LA.  For Grand Rapids and both New Orleans shows, refunds will be automatically issued to all ticket buyers.

For Madison and St. Louis, there will be a 30-day window for anyone who would like refunds (exact details to come). Otherwise, purchased tickets will once again be good for the rescheduled dates. Please note, Jon Shaw will now be playing bass on the rescheduled dates in Madison & St. Louis.

As of now, we will continue playing shows with the additional safety precautions listed below. As the year progresses, we will make decisions based on the best data available with the health and safety of ourselves and our fans in mind.

We apologize for the bad news and deeply appreciate your understanding.

Wishing you all love and health,

Joe Russo’s Almost Dead

Joe Russo’s Almost Dead’s additional safety precautions require that all staff, artists and audience members have proof of having been fully vaccinated at least 2 weeks ahead of the event, or a negative PCR test within 48 hours of the event. This includes all patrons aged 12 and over.  The use of masks is highly encouraged.

Joe Russo’s Almost Dead added, “These protocols were crafted using the latest health recommendations from government and industry experts, with cities and venues in mind. If health updates for the location of our shows require a revision to our protocols, we ask that you be patient and understanding, as your health and welfare are our primary goal.”

The policy will commence on Aug. 19 starting with their show in Cleveland, Ohio.

Joe Russo’s Almost Dead will be playing at Lockn’ Farm Aug. 13 through 15.
