The Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival – which hosted 80,000 people in 2019 – will now require proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test before its 2021 celebration, scheduled for Sept. 2-5, 2021.

“The safety of our patrons and staff is our number one priority. As such a full COVID-19 vaccination or negative COVID-19 test will be required to attend Bonnaroo 2021,” reads an official announcement. “Bonnaroo strongly encourages vaccination. The last day to receive the second shot of Moderna or Pfizer, or a single dose of Johnson and Johnson is Thursday, August 19th. For patrons who are not fully vaccinated, a negative COVID-19 test result must be obtained within 72 hours (3 days) of first entering Centeroo. Bonnaroo requests that unvaccinated individuals wear a mask at all times while on The Farm.”

Last year, Bonnaroo was canceled due to the pandemic, with officials writing in June of 2020, “Our annual time together on the Farm is nothing short of magical, but out of an abundance of caution and for the health and safety of all Bonnaroovians, artists, staff, partners and our community, this is a necessary reality,” read a statement from the festival. Tool, Lizzo and Tame Impala were set to headline the festival.

The 2021 lineup rolled over many of the previous year’s performers; now it will boast Lizzo, Tame Impala, Foo Fighters, Lana Del Rey, Megan Thee Stallion, My Morning Jacket, Tyler The Creator, The Disco Biscuits, Goose and more.
