On Sept. 3, Showtime will drop Bitchin’, a new documentary following the exploits of famed singer Rick James.
“Bitchin’: The Sound and Fury of Rick James is an intimate yet propulsive look at Rick James, one of rock, funk and R&B’s most legendary and often under-appreciated figures,” reads an official description.
The film gives an unfiltered look at James’ music, drug use, sexual assault accusations and more. It was directed by Sacha Jenkins who also helmed the network’s Wu-Tang Clan: Of Mics and Men series.
