Singer-songwriter, musician and author Josh Ritter is promoting the release of his anticipated novel “The Great Glorious Goddamn of it All” with a run of solo fall tour dates. His tour will be held at various iconic locations throughout the country and is set to begin on Sept. 21 in Los Angeles. Ritter’s tour will coincide with a combined in-person and virtual book tour at select bookstores and libraries.
Unlike the large rock stages Ritter usually plays, he notes that these performances will be smaller and more intimate venues. “I want my first set of shows in a year and a half to be in places that will allow me to sing some of the stranger, quieter, more narrative songs that I may not always get to at a rock show,” he said in a statement. “I want the venues to be special and beautiful, I want laughter and music and stories that are true even if they’re unreal. Finally, I want to perform again, stomp the dust off, see what new appendages and teeth and claws have grown from this time in the wilderness, see what joy can come from sorrow and what tears can come from joy.”
Tickets will become available for sale at 10 a.m. EST Friday, July 23.
