The Black Crowes kicked off their reunion tour with a sold-out show at Nashville’s Ascend Amphitheater, Tuesday, July 20. The highly anticipated Shake Your Money Maker tour marks one of the first significant rock tours since the pandemic began.

The show featured bassist Sven Pipien performing with with the band for the first time since their final pre-breakup gig in 2014.

The band played Shake Your Money Maker front-to-back, for the celebration of the 30th anniversary of their 1990 debut, and continued with a career spanning show. The riff-packed two-hour set was juke-joint themed, complete with a full bar and jukebox. Fans enjoyed numerous hits, including “Jealous Again,” “Sister Luck,” “Hard to Handle,” and many more. The night went out with a bang as The Black Crows delivered a rousing encore of their chart-topping hit, “Remedy.”

Concert-goers were also treated to one of rock’s most dynamic newcomers, Dirty Honey. The Los Angeles bluesy-hard-rock outfit warmed up the crowd with a 55-minute set packed to the brim with tasty riffs, hypnotic hooks, and immaculate vocals.
