The String Cheese Incident played the second show of their 3-night-run at Red Rocks, last night, July 17. This weekend marks the first time String Cheese has played Red Rocks since the beginning pandemic.

The Colorado natives opened up their first set with fan-favorite “Sirens” into “Believe.” They continued to flow seamlessly through jams and genre, from Eddie Harris’ “Freedom Jazz Dance” to the funky country jam that is “Let’s Go Outside,” on which they were joined by vocalist Kim Dawson.

String Cheese got their second set rolling by opening with “You’ve Got the World.” They then welcomed Peter Anspach of Goose to play on “Jellyfish” which led into “Rollover” and then into “Sweet Melinda.”

Kim Dawson joined them on stage again for Stevie Wonder’s “Boogie On Reggae Woman” for the encore. They closed the night out with “Colorado Bluebird Sky.”

The whole set was streamed at Nugs.net and their Sunday show is available to view here.

Peter Anspach and Goose will be performing their FRED festival at the LOCKN’ Farm Aug. 20 through 22. Get tickets here.
