Nigel Hall has announced the release of his new studio album Spiritual, today, July 16. The Grammy award-winning artist brought on a lot of talent for this release; including Patrice Rushen, Marcus King, Ryan Zoidis and Jeff Coffin.

The 14-song album was recorded in Richmond, Va. at Jellowstone Studios, and bleeds creative control and a deep honesty from Hall. Hall exudes a focus on connecting to his deepest self by releasing his personal style of jazz-inflected old-school R&B and funk throughout the album and through his collaborations.

“I feel like every artist records one record in their career for themselves,” said Hall. “This one is it for me. I feel like if no one hears this record, I’ll still be able to sleep at night because I know there is something real out in the world that I put there.”

The accomplished vocalist, keyboardist, studio musician has also stated that aside from his children the record is his proudest accomplishment to date.

Spiritual is available for digital download and on vinyl.
