Multi-instrumentalist and R&B singer H.E.R. has just released a live performance of the track “Closer To Me,” off her new album, Back of My Mind which dropped on June 18. 

Fans may recognize H.E.R. from her recent Oscar win for the track “Fight For You” from Judas and the Black Messiah or her 2021 CMT Awards collaboration with Chris Stapleton.

She also made a surprise appearance at D’Angelo’s lauded Verzuz livestream, playing “Best Part” – off her 2017 self-titled compilation – before a version of the The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill classic “Nothing Even Matters.”
