Last night the String Cheese Incident delivered their public performance in front of a live audience since November 30, 2019 at the Mission Ballroom in Denver. The July 4 show occurred at the Peach Musical Festival in Scranton, PA.

The band performed two sets and enlisted some guest musicians to mark the occasion. SCI closed out their first set on Independence Day with a fitting cover of the Grateful Dead’s “U.S. Blues” with special guest Warren Haynes. When the group later returned for set two, they welcomed Blind Boys of Alabama to the stage for a version of “Amazing Grace.”

Other highlights included the “Texas” opener, the version of “Black Clouds” that concluded the second set, as well as a run from “Best Feeling” into “ Exodus” then back into “Best Feeling” and on through “Colliding.” The encore was a nod to Peach’s origins, as the group interpreted the Allman Brothers Band’s “Jessica.”

SCI will next appear at the Dillon Amphitheater in Dillon, CO on August 13 and 14.
