Modest Mouse performed “We Are Between,” the first single off their new album The Golden Casket, last week on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
The June 22 appearance showcased the band performing in a spacious studio decorated with various plants and greenery, consistent with the warm, psychedelic vibes of their new album’s cover art.
The Golden Casket, which dropped June 25, is the band’s first full-length endeavor since 2015’s Strangers To Ourselves. According to a press release, frontman Isaac Brock explores various themes ranging from invisible technology and the degradation of our psychic landscapes, to fatherhood.
