Liz Cooper – who many know as the bandleader of Liz Cooper & The Stampede – will release a solo LP Hot Sass on Sept. 3.
To celebrate the announcement, the singer-songwriter and musician has shared a new music video for the lead single “Slice of Life.”
According to a press release, Hot Sass will signal a shift in genre for Cooper, toward a certain maturity, independence and creative growth. The album was produced by Benny Yurco (Grace Potter and the Nocturnals) and mixed by Dan Molad (Emily King, Lucius).
In the coming days, Cooper will perform a livestream concert at New York City’s Mercury Lounge on June 24 at 10 p.m. ET.
She will also tour throughout 2021 with notable appearances at Bonnaroo, Railbird, Telluride Blues and Brews and more.
