Tame Impala had fans scratching their heads earlier this week when they released a strange commercial-esque teaser that ended with the message “Phase 1 Clinical Trials Begin 09/2021.”

Now that message is clear; adorned in white lab coats, the mind-bending psychedelic rock band plans to use their music to heal through a long-awaited tour.

“Rushium® Has The Ability to Mark and Alter Time Perception,” reads a cryptic teaser of the tour, which will presumably put crowds in an immersive, trippy mindset. RUSHIUM® is said to treat “Acute Time Metagrobolization in Cells (ATMiC) within patients from 16 to 95 years of age.”

The Slow Rush, Tame Impala’s fourth studio album, was released in February 2020. The original tour was delayed due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The Slow Rush Tour and the Rushium Clinical Trial will debut at the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival on Sept. 4. The band will continue on to play 16 more shows, including headline sets at Firefly, Outside Lands, and two nights at the Hollywood Bowl.
