Umphrey’s McGee fans flocked to Red Rocks this weekend to see the band return to the beloved Colorado stage for three straight evenings.

After a night one that included a Talking Heads debut, UM bookended the run with a major bust-out of The Notorious B.I.G.’s “Big Poppa,” with a winking allusion to the Sunday Father’s Day holiday (this was the band’s first performance of the rap classic since March 9, 2013 – show gap: 699, percussionist Andy Farag took on vocal duties).

Other night three highlights included an opening “40s Theme,” a “Looks” containing elements of Motley Crue’s “Dr. Feelgood” and a second set “The Triple Wide”> “Mantis” jam that completed the “Mantis” from the evening before.
