The Disco Biscuits returned to New Haven, CT for a performance at Westville Music Bowl. This show closed out the band’s two-night stand at the venue, with both gigs streaming via FANS.live. The Biscuits will continue to deliver Friday and Saturday shows throughout the summer with stops at  Columbia Speedway Entertainment Center in Cayce, SC on June 18 and 19, McHenry Outdoor Theater in McHenry, IL on June 25 and 26, the TD Pavilion at The Mann on July 9 and 10, and then Coolray Field in Atlanta, GA on July 16 and 17.

Saturday’s performance offered a number of segues and callbacks. The evening opened with “7-11” which also later served as the final song of the encore, returning after “Station.” The band’s initial take on “7-11” led into “Pat and Dex,” a song that the group  debuted in 1995 but has become a rarity as of late, as the two preceding version were at the  performed on Ogden Theater in Denver, CO on 5/26/18 and at Dominican Holidaze on 12/4/15. Following “Pat and Dex” the set led seamlessly from “Pygmy Twylyte” to “4th of July” to  “The Great Abyss” and finally  “Story of the World.” The second set was a fully-segued sequence of music that opened with  “Strobelights and Martinis,” moved to an inverted  “Above the Waves” and then into longtime fan-favorite “ Basis for a Day” before a “Tractorbeam” jam returned to “Strobelights & Martinis” and finally another pass at “Basis for a Day.”

As previously mentioned, the Biscuits will return to the stage in two weeks at Cayce, SC’s Columbia Speedway Entertainment Center.
