Some of the biggest names in music have teamed up with REVERB to “galvanize musicians, fans and music industry leaders to fight the climate crisis.”
The “Music Climate Revolution” includes major players like Billie Eilish, Dead & Company, Jack Johnson, Dave Matthews Band, Brittany Howard, Michael Franti, The 1975, The Lumineers, Shawn Mendes and more.
According to a press release, all of the artists involved are pushing to reduce the carbon footprint of their tours, offering “plant-based food options at concessions,” “eliminating single-use plastic,” “sourcing local and sustainable farm food for catering,” erecting a “Climate Action Village at each show where concertgoers connect with environmental groups to make an impact in their local communities” and more.
Specifically, “Billie Eilish will make her 2022 world tour climate positive” and “Dead & Company will eliminate 500% of its 2021 tour carbon footprint.”
