Jeff Tweedy will close out his “drive-in season” with one last event this week. On Friday, June 4, the Wilco frontman will return to Bridgeview, IL’s The Drive-In at SeatGeek Stadium, which is located right outside Tweedy’s hometown of Chicago. A few weeks later, on July, 3, Tweedy will also headline Loves Park, IL’s Long Play Music Fest, before he regroups with Wilco for an extended tour with Sleater-Kinney that is slated to open at Spokane, WA’s First Interstate Center for the Arts on August 5. Looking ahead, the Wilco singer will also perform under his own name at Boulder, CO’s Bluebird Music Festival on September 25/
Though Wilco has not performed a proper show since March 11, 2020, Tweedy has kept busy during the past year by filming webcasts with his family as part of the Tweedy Show, performing socially distanced shows and releasing a book. Wilco were working on their next studio album before the pandemic hit.
