Levon Helm Studios, located in Woodstock, N.Y., has announced a slate of new shows set for spring, summer and fall of 2021. The newly announced shows include dates for Umphrey’s McGee, Shovels & Rope, Mipso and more.
The first of the newly set dates will be a performance by Midnight Ramble, which will take place on May 31 and will be in celebration of Levon Helm’s 81st birthday (which would have been May 26). On June 20, Teddy Thompson and Jenni Muldaur will perform “Teddy & Jenni Do Nashville: A Tribute To The Great Country Duos.” Both of these shows will take place outdoors.
Later in June, jam-scene veterans Umphrey’s McGee will perform a show on the 27. It will be held indoors; the venue stated that in order to attend, fans must prove that they have completed full COVID-19 vaccination (meaning two weeks out from their second show). In addition, masks will be required.
In the fall, Levon Helm Studios will host two nights of Shovels & Rope on Nov. 5-6; the shows are part of the band’s Bare Bones tour. Finally, the newly announced dates wrap up with Mipso on Dec. 10.
