On Friday night, May 14, Umphrey’s McGee kicked off their two-night run at SeatGeek Stadium in Bridgeview, Ill. The drive-in shows are part of their Plan Bee spring tour.
The band kicked off the evening with “Attachment,” as they performed in front of parked cars and dancing fans. After “Words,” UM moved into fan-favorite “In The Kitchen,” which segued into “2nd Self.” The remainder of the set consisted of a three-song sequence of “Intentions Clear” > “In The Black” > “Believe the Lie,” with the band transitioning smoothly between each of the songs.
The second set began with a “Hurt Bird Bath” sandwich, with “Half Delayed” in between. After a rendition of “Resolution,” Umphrey’s debuted an instrumental cover of Tom Petty’s “Free Fallin’,” only to transition back into “Resolution.” Later in the set, the band reprised “In The Kitchen,” with the song emerging out of “Draconian.” The set closed with “40’s Theme,” and UM opted for “Wizard Burial Ground” as the encore.
Umphrey’s McGee’s run at SeatGeek Stadium continues tonight, May 15. Check out the setlist from last night’s show below, via Allthings.Umphreys.

Not a debut
May 16, 2021 at 8:35 pmI saw them play an instrumental Free Falling at the Boulder Theatre years ago.

May 15, 2021 at 8:14 pmThis is misleading. They debuted it in the state of Illinois, yes, but they did Resolution > Free Fallin’ > Resolution at the Fillmore in Philly two years ago.
