Umphrey’s McGee kicked off a two-night run at New Haven’s Westville Music Bowl on Friday, May 7. The new venue opened last weekend with a three shows from Gov’t Mule.

Umphrey’s set kicked off “Goonville,” followed by “Cut The Cable.” Next, the band dropped into an extended “Nothing Too Fancy” sequence that saw them move between “Out Of Order,” “Looks” and “#5 before going back into “Nothing Too Fancy.” The first “Nothing Too Fancy” saw a tease of Van Halen’s “Ain’t Talkin’ ’bout Love.” The frame closed with “Daffodils.”

Set two began with “The Crooked One” before smoothy moving to “Bad Friday.” “It Doesn’t Matter” came next. During the jam segment, the band segued smoothly into “Speak Up.” The five-song second set closed with “Wife Soup.” The band opted for “All In Time” for the encore, which featured a tease of Miles Davis’ “Milestones.”

The band returns to the Westville Music Bowl stage tonight, May 8. Check out the full setlist from Friday’s show below, via Allthings.Umphreys.
