The Northwest String Summit has announced a string of drive-in gigs to bring together the pickin’ community this summer, including a dual headlining run by Yonder Mountain String Band and The Infamous Stringdusters (July 20 and 21) as well as two evenings with Greensky Bluegrass (July 27 and 28).
The shows will take place at the NWSS’ usual home of Horning’s Hideout in North Plains, Ore.
“What a long strange trip this past year has been,” noted NWSS co-owner Skye McDonald in a press statement. “After determining that we would need to punt (now twice) our 20th Anniversary full-fledged 4 day festival to July 21-24, 2022, we still wanted to do an something to bring people together, albeit very safely, to the hollowed grounds of Horning’s Hideout and enjoy some of the music we host each year.”
Tickets – which “will be purchased by car, with four(4) people per vehicle” – are on sale now.
