T. Hardy Morris just announced his fourth solo album, The Digital Age of Rome. The new album will drop on Jun. 25 on the New West Records/Normaltown Records. It follows Morris’ 2018 LP, Dude, The Obscure.

After coming off the Dude, The Obscure tour, Morris had recorded several demos for the new record. Just as he was ready to rehearse and record the tracks with his band, the pandemic hit. He ultimately ended up scrapping the demos and developing a completely new collection of tracks.

“Sequestered at his Athens, Ga. home with his family, Morris, like most everyone else in the past year, mulled over what was truly important to him and in response, crafted an entirely new set of songs,” read a press release. “Enlisting a group of musicians including Drive-By Truckers drummer Brad Morgan, singer-songwriter Faye Webster and many others, Morris pulled no punches with his mesmerizing lyrics and hazy brand of southern glam rock.”

SPIN premiered a lyric video for the first single and title track, “The Digital Age of Rome.” The audio for this track is available on Morris’s YouTube channel. Fans can pre-order or pre-save the album on Spotify, Apple Music, CD, standard black vinyl or limited-edition Coke-bottle clear vinyl through the T. Hardy Morris website.
