Gilda’s Club NYC has announced its first-ever virtual concert, “It’s Always Something,” on Wednesday, May 19, at 8 pm EST. The organization offers free cancer support programs to those affected by cancer, so all proceeds from the concert will go directly to supporting the organization’s efforts.

The concert will feature exclusive performances by Sting, Jon Batiste, Rosanne Cash, Kenny Loggins, David Sanborn, Kandace Springs, Bernie Williams, and Gil Parris. The show will also include appearances from Robin Roberts, Susie Essman, Jon Hamm, Brooke Shields, and JB Smoove.

The club was founded in memory of the late celebrated comedian and original Saturday Night Live cast member, Gilda Radner. “As Gilda would say, ‘it’s always something’ and she was right,” said Lily Safani, CEO of Gilda’s Club NYC in a statement. The Club prides itself on its continued initiative to educate and offer emotional support for cancer patients and their families virtually throughout the pandemic. “We are incredibly grateful to all the artists that are donating their time to help us raise funds to support our free programs and reach more New Yorkers than ever before,” she continued.

“It’s Always Something” will be executively produced by Susan Brecker and Mark Krantz along with original SNL writer, Alan Zweibel, consulting. Ray Conley will MC the event while Will Lee will serve as the musical director.

The concert will be streamed at Gilda’s Club NYC’s YouTube page. For more information or to make a donation visit gildasclubnyc.org
