The Capitol Theatre is cracking open its long history book and sharing a new line of limited edition merch in honor Janis Jopin’s Aug. 8, 1970 performance at the Port Chester, NY venue.

Designed by Alessio Vitelli from Rome, the hand-numbered posters are available in multiple variants, as are shirts in both men’s and women’s styles.

The 8/8/70 show is known as the evening Joplin debuted her hit “Mercedes Benz,” which she wrote just a few hours earlier, down the street from The Cap at a local watering hole.

Joplin died on October 4, 1970, just a few weeks after this legendary performance.
