Dark Star Orchestra has announced three live new live shows for this coming Spring. In April, the Dead tribute act will head to Birmingham, Ala.’s Avondale Brewing Company, while in May they’ll play a two-night stand at Showtime at the Drive-In in Frederick, Md.

The Maryland shows will take place on May 14 and 15. DSO previously performed at the venue this past Fall. “We can’t wait to play for you again and are taking all precautions do gather safely,” they wrote in an announcement post.

Just a few hours after announcing the Showtime at the Drive-In shows, DSO announced that they will perform a reduced capacity show at Birmingham’s Avondale Brewing Company on Apr. 15.

The band recently announced that their Dark Star Jubilee festival is canceled for 2021. However, they also announced its replacement, Dark Star Jubilation – a two-night run of socially distanced DSO shows – for May 28 and 29.

Rob Eaton is still recovering from a serious wrist injury which he sustained in February. The band hasn’t yet given an update on his recovery timeline.

Tickets to both the Alabama show and the Maryland run go on sale to the general public on March 5 at 10 a.m. ET. To purchase tickets to the Alabama show, click here. For Maryland, click here.
