Phish guitarist and devoted hockey fan Trey Anastasio was one of the lucky few to descend upon the newly opened Madison Square Garden this weekend, relaxing in the stands as a masked-up spectator for the New York Rangers v. Boston Bruins game on Sunday, Feb. 28.
The last time Anastasio was plugged-in at MSG as a musician was on 12/31/19, for Phish’s now-infamous “Rescue Squad” New Year’s Eve show.
He also strolled through the venue in October 2020, as he filmed a post-apocalyptic, 28 Days Later-inspired bit for his Beacon Jams run.
Get your hands on Anastasio’s recent Relix cover, exploring The Beacon Jams at Relix.com/Trey.
