Reverend Al Sharpton served as the latest guest feature for the Questlove Supreme podcast, on an episode which rounds out the show’s Black History Month programming.

The weekly podcast is hosted by Questlove and Team Supreme. The episodes “dig deep into the stories of musical legends and cultural icons,” and have featured guests such as Mariah Carey, James Taylor, Seth Rogan, EStelle, Jimmy Fallon, and Zoe Kravitz. Driven by the guests’ backstories and journeys to success, the podcast also discusses their passions and current projects.

In the latest episode, Reverend Al Sharpton explains his mission to be “a great orator, warrior, and leader in the plight of justice and equality for Black people” (quote via press release). Questlove and Sharpton then discuss the reason why music was a pivotal aspect of his journey. The episode closes out the podcast’s Black History Month programming, and is a perfect way to continue the conversation.

The full podcast episode is available to listen here, as well as previous episodes.
