On Feb. 4, Umphrey’s McGee kicked off their three-night, pay-per-view ‘Wrapped Around Nashville’ livestream series. The show took place at drummer Kris Myers’ studio in Nashville, Tenn., known as Rocktopus’ Garden, and it marked the prog-jam unit’s first show of 2021.

For these livestreams, Umphrey’s McGee added a fan participation element. The first set of last night’s livestream (as well as the first set of tonight’s upcoming show) was voted on by fans before it began, while the second set was penned by the band. Meanwhile, the final show on Feb. 6 will include a “Choose Your Own Adventure” set, during which fans will vote for songs in real time as the set progresses.

The fan-elected setlist kicked off with “Mantis,” followed by “2 x 2” and “Muff II: The Revenge.” It closed out with a pairing of “The Haunt” and “Got Your Milk (Right Here), featuring a typically tight transition by the band between the two songs.

Set two both began and ended with “Wizard Burial Ground.” The band also performed staples “Ocean Billy,” “Nothing Too Fancy” and “Hajimemashite.” Towards the end of the set, they performed “In The Black” before moving back into “Wizard Burial Ground.”
