On Jan. 28 at 5 p.m. ET, Guster’s Adam Gardner, Michael Franti and Elvis Perkins will participate in a panel discussion titled ‘Sound System: Greening the Music Business,’ as part of The Big Bold Jewish Climate Fest. The panel will be hosted by Relix editor-in-chief Mike Greenhaus and is completely free to view.
“Adam Gardner of Guster started a nonprofit, Reverb, to help the music industry integrate more climate friendly practices, especially in the touring business,” read a description for the event. “Relix Magazine Editor in Chief Mike Greenhaus talks with Adam and other musical guests about how they are applying their passion for a healthier climate to the music business, including touring, merchandise and more, and how their Jewish values have informed their work.”
The Big Bold Jewish Climate Fest coincides with the Jewish holiday of Tu BiShvat, a day of ecological awareness.
Gardner and Franti performed as part of President Joe Biden’s Clean Energy Inaugural Ball last week, along with Bob Weir & Wolf Bros and others.
