George Porter Jr. by Dean Budnick, Leo Nocentelli by Dino Perrucci

Original Meters bandmates George Porter Jr. and Leo Nocentelli will join forces in February for the free Mardi Gras For All Y’all livestream, hosted by NOLA.com and Mardi Gras World.

Additional talent for the Feb. 12-14 event will include Preservation Hall Jazz Band and the Marine Forces Reserve Band, as well as famous faces like Chef Emeril Lagasse and football legend Archie Manning.

The Crescent City’s famed Mardis Gras krewes and clubs will also make an appearance on the livestream, furthering the celebratory spirit.

“The parades may be cancelled this year but the spirit of Mardi Gras will be in full swing as we celebrate Carnival and everything we love about it,” reads an official description.

In November, New Orleans mayor LaToya Cantrell announced that Mardi Gras would not take place in 2021, in an effort to limit the spread of COVID-19.

You can tune into the virutal Mardi Gras For All Y’all at 8 p.m. via NOLA.com.
